It's cheaper to buy tuning gear and learn to use it than it is to build an engine you're going to blow up promptly.

So you really think with the h beam rods, blockguard, and 45s on 8 pounds the afc could make it unreliable? Cuz it sounds pretty stout to me, well at least for 8 pounds it does. Also how about the oilpump, thats the main reason it blew in the first place.

Let me rephrase that. Tune > build.

Dude.....it costs like $30 to buy a chip kit, and its easy to put in youself, then all u do is suck it up and spend $250-$300 on a wideband, or let a friend use theirs, you dont need a dyno to tune ur ----. Oh yeah and a datacable $25 whoop de doo, its not even worth building a motor if your gonna cheap out on tuning and blow it up anyway.

Ok so what about that lc1 wideband? Isnt it like 199? I dont have a laptop either. I still dont know how to tune, so if someone could give me a quick rundown it would be cool. I know basically you are looking at your a/f and changing it to be more stoic or rich, but when i look at a map all i see are numbers. I dont understand what the a/f numbers mean. And im still looking for an oil pump. Already checked the classifieds.
