Post Turbo Jeep Wrangler YJ Project - input needed

--Hey HMT I wanna keep you guys filled in on my process of putting a turbo on my Wrangler and am wide open to comments and suggestions and will be more than grateful for your help and input along the way.--

I have been doing my research for quite a while and have read many articles and forums about what I need to know. I've read many threads about people turbo-ing their Jeep I-6 and just wanna get my own take on them, hence this thread.

I'm not at all new to mechanics, and I am pretty mechanically smart, however when it comes to turbos, I understand exactly how every part of them and the system works, I just don't exactly know different characteristics of different turbos... (T3, T3/T4 etc) So I'll try my best to keep up with what you have to say.

** I understand that most of you are probably not offroad enthusiasts, but I am so please be nice about "turbo-ing a stupid SUV," because its not for the track or the strip, its for not getting passed by minivans with U-Haul trailers..

Objectives-
-building a street legal Wrangler that will be on 40" tires that will be able to drive in the fast lane on the freeway, and pass truckers on 2 lane highways without fear of death by head-on collision.

-not to have excessive turbo lag and then a pile of unexpected boost while slow-speed offroading.

-a streetable system that I don't have to worry about overheating the turbo itself

-------------------------------

With what I have researched, I'm thinking I want about 5 lbs of boost @ 2500 rpm- half throttle (freeway cruising)... and about 10-12 lbs max at full throttle hammered down (passing truckers). (engine redlines at ~4500 rpm)

Engine used to be a stock 4.0 I6, now outfitted with a 4.6L stroker kit. (278 cubic inches)

I've done the calculator on "selecting the right turbo size" and I understood it and kept up completely until I got a little confused at the bottom of the page when it comes to reading the turbo CFM and using that to determine your desired turbo... but I got thrown off everytime it said " 4-- Max CFM 2.0L @ 7000k rpm" and I didn't know what to do since A; my engine is a 4.6L and not a 2.0, and B; my engine will never see 7k rpm...

Also, I can't help to think that that "turbo selector calc" is designed with 1/4 mile times and max HP in mind which isn't really what I'm after...

-------------------------------------------
So questions posed are-

-Should I even be looking at turbo's, (realistically) or should I just spring the extra money for a "universal" supercharger?

-If so, which turbos come to your mind that will best suit my needs? (for some reason a T3/T4 Hybrid is what keeps popping up in my head)

-------------------------------------------

P.S. I know that there is tons of stuff that I am leaving out that I understand and don't have any questions about that is necessary to turbo installs i.e. bigger lbs injectors, optional intercoolers, wastegates/BOV's, oiling systems etc etc... I don't have any questions on any of that stuff

P.P.S. the I6 is staying, so please no comments about "why not just a V8 and no power adders?"

T.I.A. HMT! -Chance

Okay I'll be honest, when you first posted that I had no clue what "trim" was, I figured it was like an intake of 50 or 60 mm... but then i figured why you wouldn't just say mm... so I researched it and found out what trim is... what are pros and cons over 50 trim vs 60 trim?.. if I understood right, then a 50 trim will spool up quicker, but deliver a little less boost pressure than a 60 trim, am i on the right track?

thanks in advance
