a leaky vac would cause a high idle. not a no start.

yes a vaccum leak will make it idle fast.. it won't make the car run without the fuel pump.. There is some really weird stuff going on there.

Hrm not even if its giving too much fuel when I try and turn it over. Then with the pump off its burning off the fuel that was dumped?

it should have the fuel burnt out of teh cylnders within a couple combustion cycles. and the pressure left in the line should also be gone within a couple rpm. I'm talking a mater of seconds.. Is it possible you kinked the return line from the pressure regulator When you reinstalled the fuel rail? That might be the problem.. you would get extremely high fuel pressures instantly and this could cause the flooding.

Re:Turbo Installed. Wont Start. HELP!

I'll double check that, but I doubt it considering this whole flooding thing happened before my injectors were installed.. I'm thinking that the smc cant lean my car out enough with the pump for some reason. Also I've got it to start with the pump on.. at like literally 100 rpm's. And it bogs like hell and shows rich on the gauge. And I did a test turning the pump off and starting the car... started with a few cranks (idle still high 1,600 rpms would fluctuate after car warmed up), and then turned on the pump and the car immediatly dropped rpms and died on the spot.

PS. Is it normal to be feeling a slight bit of air blowing from the exit valve on the BOV?

Well put the stock pump back in.. I have heard the stock regulator can't flow enough fuel to keep up with aftermarket pumps.. That is why the fmu guys get such skewed results.. Most of them have about 50psi at idle instead of 40..

Well the damn pump broke when I was trying to take the rubber hose off it :o ! Would it be cheaper to get a adjustible FPR? If not where can I get a fuel pump. :-\

just get a stock replacement, you will not need a higher pressure b/c you dont have an fmu. if you are staying low boost (<12psi), then you dont need higher flow.

time for a trip to autozone, and resist the temptation to get the led winshield squirters haha
