Re:Turbo Installed. Wont Start. HELP!

Yeah all the wires were right, just checked them again a few mins ago. Dont have the stock fuel pump anymore unfortunatly, but wouldnt the new one keep stock pressure. Doesnt high flow pumps just have the ability to push higher? I know my injector wires were right too. Are these symptoms of any type of other problem?

Could this be because of a vac leak? My vac source for everything is my FPR. I really need to figure this out.

What's up Blind sorry to hear bout your misshapps with your turbo... You said you checked the FPR and everything checks out ok? You know... it's stories like these that scare me about installing turbo's... But honestly I put my bet on that cut-off switch you installed or the FPR. Anyone second me?

i would try process of elimination.
put back stock parts. injectors, remove resistors, smc, cutoff switch. your car should idle fine without those, even with the turbo connected.

i've heard of people havn't very big problems with aftermarket fuel pumps. you really don't need them. and yes they raise fuel pressure at idle... at least the ones i've seen do

Re:Turbo Installed. Wont Start. HELP!

Well see this happened right before I installed my turbo while I was NA too. When I installed my smc, without my injectors at 0% I was flooding. I realized at that same time I had Ted for my bov off of my fpr. So in my mind that just might be it. However when it finally cranked when I was NA it idled EXTREAMLY high. Its not as high this time. I'm gonna check the ---- off the fpr today and move stuff elsewhere and let ya guys know what happens.

wait wait wait. Did you every try the SMC w/ STOCK injectors?

I saw you said you wireed resistors in with the 450cc dsm's. I thought you only had to use resistors in an obd0 car like the crx??

if thats not it.. maybe you wired the map sensor voltage with a 12v lead instead of map and its sending that to the ecu with LOTS of fuel? dunno just my .02

Re:Turbo Installed. Wont Start. HELP!

No obd0 cars came with resistor boxes.. you have to add them to anything after obd0.. Something is not right with what your describing. There is no way a car can run for 3 minutes with out the fuel pump running. is just not possible. Your fuel pump must be running while the car is running.

Also I know you said you hooked everything up right but something has to be wrong.. I mean if it was all hooked up right you would not be having this problem. it seems like no matter what you do to the smc it has no effect on fuel. Maybe you did get the wrong map signal line.

Re:Turbo Installed. Wont Start. HELP!

I'll double check everything with the smc once again. Anyone know if a leaky vac on a fpr will do this?
