You can get to the 300hp mark on the .48 housing, but the exhaust restriction is rediculously high at that number. The .63 housing will outflow the smaller one all day, but comes on a bit later if you don't mind the little loss in bottom end power.

THen go ahead.
The chinese turbine housings are in my opinion very good, if not better than garrett ones because they don't tend to crack as much across the wastegate hole.
However, I am not sure of the accuracy of the a/r of their housings.

if it's ½" bigger, it's because it'S a stage 3 turbo and you got only a stage 1 wheel!
big problem! you need a good, non-chinese stage 3 wheel now!

Prolly a stupid question but are the .48 and the .63 wheels the same size and the only difference is the housing? I have the .48 and wanting to go .63. Sorry for the threadjack but there's alot of good info here.

There's no "0.63 wheel"! the a/r ratio concerns the housing only.

If you have 0.48 a/r now, you can just swap a 0.63 turbine housing by yourself in 5 minutes, just make sure it's a housing made for the same wheel size as yours. (which i believe is stage1)

The compressor side. Exhaust side's are t3's, just usually have a larger stage wheel. Then the T4 compressor side is mated to the fast spooling t3 hotside. Pretty basic sutff dude...how long you been here? LOL
