That's not a T3, it's a T25. Let me know what A/R it says on the compressor housing and what A/R it has for an exhaust housing. More than likely it'll be .64 or .68 and isn't the DSM T25. The compressor housing is either a .48 A/R or a .80 A/R and both housings have a slight difference in wheel trim. If it has a .64 A/R exhaus side and a .80 A/R compressor housing then it is the largest of the T25 series and is capable of 32 lbs/min before choking. This same turbo was used on the old Pontiac Grand Prix 3.1 V6.

The .80 A/R compresspr with a 70 trim wheel was used on 1990 + Volvo 740, 760, 940 as well as the 90+ Saab 9000T

EDIT-More than likely it's the .48 A/R compressor housing with the .64 A/R exhaust housing.

Who knows? You won't know until you recieve it. If you're talking about usable for your engine, of course it will be provided it is in usable condition to begin with. You never mentioned what engine you'll be installing it on so "Is it usable?" is a trick question.

Whether or not your engine can make use of it is more about what goals you're going for in the first place. For a noob with a D series, it'll be fine but will run out of steam far before redline.

Since you asked this question to begin with, I'd say you'll be fine.

No. It IS a T25. You'll have to wait until it arrives to see what compressor housing it has which will dictate which trim the compressor wheel is. From the looks of it, it is a .48 A/R compressor housing.

Maybe if you would have researched it a little more before bidding then you wouldn't have a problem. And I'm not talking about posting a "OMG WTF kind of turbo is this?" thread three hours before the auction ends.

This is nobodies fault but your own. Considering your knowledge of turbos, I'm guessing your tuning skills are about the same. As said, you'll more than likely be fine with a T25 especially with a 70 trim .80 A/R, it it is indeed a 70 trim .80 A/R. (the largest T25)

Holy ---- pal you really need to calm down.First you bitch that no one is answering your post then your bitching about the info you got. It looks just like a T3 that comes off a Saab so I would wait till it arrives before going off on a rant at people.

They did come with a T25 in some of the newer models but I agree that does not look like one.

I actually know what I'm talking about.

Just because a turbo looks like your's doesn't mean ----...

That's probably a T17 or a T25, based on the exhaust manifold, which is DEFINITELY from a late-80s to mid-90s Saab 9000. These were the turbos used on the 9000. You would need to know which car this came from to determine whether it was the smaller of the two.

Depending on the year of the Saab 9000, it may use a T3 or a T25 exhaust flange. If the car was pre-93, it might be a T3. It's it's 93 and newer, T25.

<----- currently owns two Saabs. Former owner of five others...
