Default turbo help

I have a turbo (TD04) from a greddy kit.. I believe it doesn't have a wastegate actuator. (that would be mounted on the turbo and connect to the other side to open the wastegate... correct?) I was wondering where I can get one that would work? I am also wondering.. i am planning to run something like 7psi or so. Can I buy a bov that will not work? (obviously not broken). Are the bov.s designed to work between a certain range or doesn't it matter? Thanks in advance for the help. I constantly visit these pages for reference help.

i don't know about the wastegate question. i thought the greddy kits had an internal wastegate? maybe someone stole yours, lol. anyways, any bov will work as long as it doesn't leak

yeah, i know that the greddy turbo has a internal wastegate.. but isn't the arm that opens it mounted to the outside of the turbo? at least, according to one of the pages here on hmt (the first turbo project) it seems to me that piece is what i am missing.. and it is called (from the pics) a wastegate actuator.. still curious on where to get one??

Iff all you need is the waste gate you might want to take a trip to the junk yard to pull one that will fit off a Saab or a Volvo. You might have to rig it a little and if your lucky youll be able to find an adjustable one.youy acn also go with an external wastegate depending on what exhoust manni youll be using.

As for the blow off valve( this will bring heated diagreement ) you dont need one but I would get one just couse of the sound. It will not hurt the turbo if you dont use one.Alot of cars came frome the factory without one.But if you do want you can pull a bosch frome an 80s Saab or some 80s Volvos have adjustable ones.Alot of people use the ones of of turbo Eclipses couse yopu can find them all the time on Ebay for like 35-45 bucks. Most stock BOVs are good for like 14-16 PSI.More than i think youll be running.

Here is one frome an 80s volvo.I like them couse you can get them at the J.Y for 6-8 bucks and they are adjustable.
Hope this helps.
