i personally wouldnt run anything, no filter, no nothing. just straight open.

if all else fails metal screen will do, but if possible run a filter. I'm recall seeing something where a K&N actually flowed better than a metal screen. :P

 

that's somewhat strange to me. I see a lot of muscle car guys running open carb w/ mesh screen instead of using ANY filter... hmm

 

Nothing, ---- filters I don't trust the cheap ones and it's easier to not run one.

Make a plate to deflect ---- out of the way if you're that scared.

the guys with the metal mess with panty hose would work well oil the panty hose too? i know you do not want to drive around on open filter.. hah i did on my 16g and a rock dominated it! ahha all the fin were broken i should have taken pics but now that i have over 600 in a turbo there's noone you'd catch me with out one.

 

use a screen ...its better thaan a open inlet. dirt and rocks and ---- would ---- it up
