It seems like it takes more thought than I would like to give right now, but the cam is what spins the distributor. I think they would be more of the same adjustment than two different ones, but what the ---- do I know.

Dizzy changes IGNITION timing and Cam gear changes VALVE timing. And there you have it.

I have mine retarded 3 degrees and I can only adjust the dizzy to 16 degrees(maxed out on slots).You can deffinitly notice the top end(not boosting yet).I wouldnt move the cam gear without adjusting the timing on the dizzy.

damn, you're confused? i thought the cam gear affected your ignition timing. i thought it just did it via the cam, since the dizzy is on the cam anyways?? (shakes head and feels stupid again )
