turbo/engine back fires

Re:turbo/engine back fires
As much as this has it's novelty value, please look into it. Usually timing (like skipping a tooth) plays the part in it.. well from my SOHC experience.
Running rich can have a number of features, but you have to be running uber rich to get constant back feed like that. Look into ignition issues a bit closer, your problem may be simple (well simpler then tuning out that rich run at least).

You run rich, there's unburnt fuel in your exhaust gases, it gets hot in your exhaust pipes and boom/voom. It could be other things, but usually the car is just running rich.
My WRX does that all the time, of course they run way rich from factory, but it's fun to scare old people.
