How do I solv this problem? Is there a different sensor I need to buy? I really feel in the dark ont his one...

Connect the lead to the OEM temp gauge.

It is already connected to the OEM temp gauge. This is giveing a high temperaturen reading. I did not receive an after market sensor with the autometer gauge. I need to know if i need one/ where to find one and where to put it.
