just because this is homemadeturbo and there have been some cheap thrown together setups doesn't mean don't use any fuel managment and be a cheap bastard. homemade turbo is more about trying to get the most out of there kit for the least amount of money. just read around man, hiprofile is 100% right on his one and you will be happier with how it turns out and performs. do your research and start collecting parts. by time you have everything you need you should know how the parts work together with each other. |

Just get an intake manifold from a b7 or a z6 and swap it. with the DPFI your only option is pretty much an FMU. Yes use the intercooler. any intercooler is better than no intercooler. |

------ guy doesn't even want to swap to mpfi that's ridiculous. Why go through the bitch that is installing a turbo set-up; if you're only going to be able to make an extra maybe 10hp off the RHB5? Your car is slow as ass anyway, so 10hp isn't going to make it a street terror ahaha. At least get your car to a level where it can support enough power to actually make forced induction a viable option for you. 2 injectors is not the solution to your car actually having a little scoot. MPFI now or end thread!

swpping dpfi to mpfi would give you more HP & be much safer then tossing a turbo kit on a dpfi...(tuned)

I was looking into doing this too, but I have the Mpfi swap just need the injector harness to do it with my d15b2. My question to add to this is can I run this setup with no intercooler?
Reason why I want to do the mpfi swap is because i dont think its worth it to buy the SDS EIC thing... its like $380-400. Easier to just tune it via laptop. also Stock injectors or 450's because I dont plan on boosting high with this motor |

If you think you might make over 140whp, go with the 450's. Looks like you don't plan on using an FMU, which would facilitate using 450's.
You can run non-intercooled, but it does help with power. Once I get a coil for my 'real' car, my d15b2 beater is getting the old turbo kit, except it will be non-intercooled with pvc piping to the intake. Nothings better than a $150 turbo kit, tuned :y |
