Turbo project phase two begins..

i got all my parts, now begins installation....

Setup:

D15B1 Block
D16Z6 head (milled flat, cleaned, new valve seals)
D16Z6 intake manifold
B16A SiRI 58mm throttle body
AEM fuel rail
B&M command flo fuel pressure regulator and gauge
DSM 450cc injectors
TurboEDIT tuned ECU with MAX233 datalogger capability
T3 .42/.48 oil cooled turbo
STD manifold
BMC racing CNC machined adapter plate
Stealthmode stainless steel oil line kit
StreetImports 12x9x3 front mount intercooler
Powerup Venom Pro Type-I BOV
Powerup Manual Boost Controller
Apex-i SAFC
Autometer boost,oil temp, air/fuel gauges with A pillar pod
2.5" downpipe
2.5" testpipe
2.5" straight exhaust
2.25" & 2.5" charge piping

Just thought i'd share and let everyone know how my project is doing. I hope to be in the low 14s on street tires and high 13s with slicks, but only time will tell. Lots of tuning perhaps.....

im going for 8psi daily with occasional 10psi runs at the track or a race

a new fuel pump a must? i've never heard anything about this..my boosted friends never have a problem with the stock DX fuel pump

stock fuel pump is fine w/ TE. its only a must w/ AFC or an FMU.....

can you explain this to me bigwig.. why a TE tuned ECU doesnt need a fuel pump but an AFC hack does?

the ECU ROM basically does what the AFC does, only its coded into a chip instead of in the AFC unit. they are still controlling 450cc injectors and delivering the same amount of fuel...

.. actually, I dont get it wy you need to replace stock pump even for AFC? I mean... you don't push any more pressure to injectors.. and even 440's wont use so much gas that standard pump would fail?!

Bigwig is mistaken, you don't need a fuel pump. Maybe it's one of those "it'd be better issues" but you don't "need" it.
