Default turbo choices

alright so im finally going to build a low budget set up for the gs-r hoping to stay at $1200, that being said i figure i only have a few turbo choices a .63/.60 thunderbird t3 or a holset, but what are the differences between the hx35 and hy35? obviously the holset will be a better choice but then i will have to run an external gate and add to the build price, i have done some looking around and cant find any t-bird t3's anyone know where i might find one? how much they go for? the dc header/sinktrap top mount manni. is gonna be sweeet!

I'm pretty sure holsets still have internal wastegates.

ive heard that the hy35 makes a little less power than the hx35. either one whould be an awesome turbo for the b series motor.
but those turbos dont really wake up until around 15 to 20 psi.
