Default 14b vs t3 42/48

well i havent started the set-up of my 14b yet because im have second thought about the 14b. anyway how much better is the t3 42/48 set-up in the top end compared to the 14b. i mean having a stock d16a6 which i can only push 225hp on a good tune i hope the 14b can do that this is just a temp thing until i can save up enough money for my 350hp build. anyway well here is what i have so far:

d16a6
std manifold
14b turbo with o2 housing-very minimal shaft play
450 cc dsm injectors
1g bov
srt 4 intercooler
xenocron chipped pm6

i havent bought the oil lines yet cuz im still thinking in weather to trade my 14b for a t3 42/48 or keeping it since i already have it.

yes i have searched and i no 14b set-ups have been covered and are popular but ever so often i see t3 42/48 set-ups. im just looking for the turbo that spools around 3500 to 4000 and has good top end power for a hmt set-up. anyway anybody with experiences with either set-up can you please post your story

Im new to hondas, but a former DSMer. The unported 14b has been proven to efficiently put 250whp down on dsms, so the turbo is capable. Im pretty sure it will spool long before 3500rpms, but the 14b doesnt really even wake up on a 4g63/4g61 until around 14psi. Before anyone starts to flame me yes I am aware of the differences of the engines.

Plus, you could always upgrade to the 16g later on ($350-550 depending where u find it).

On the other hand, Garrett stuff is cheaper in the long run...

Holding power through redline is nothing. It's holding torque that means something.
