Default Turbo balancing with rebuild?

I got a really good condition used Holset H1C turbo. But will rebuild the turbo myself for peace of mind. Even though it's in good working order. Anyway, there's two ways about the turbo balancing I'm concerned with.

First option, prior to disassembling the turbo, it's recommended that you mark/scribe a line with a marker on the nut, shaft, wheel, etc. So that when it comes to re-assembly, you just align all the markings tighten/bolt everything accordingly. And it will be re-balanced to spec again.

Second option, I can send the turbine/comp, wheels and thrust parts to get it balanced only by a turbo rebuild shop. Now if I go this route, do I still have to place marks on the nut, shaft, etc. when I re-assemble the turbo? Or can I just assemble the turbo w/o marking any lines? Since the turbo has been balanced professionally.

I appreciate anyone's input on this!

if you do it yourself just do what you posted and scribe a line on the nut and shaft.
if you have a professional balance it the complete center housing will be given to you assembled as that is how it is balanced. the balancing procedure requires the machinist to remove some metal from the nut on the end of the shaft were the balancing machine tells it to. this is repeated a few times, each time the machinist is taking off more metal from the nut until it balances out.
