How did you come to the conclusion that this thread is about the new TL?? The title clarly says it is for a turbo 85 prelude Si. I hardly see a 85 Prelude as new. Anyways so the J35 Rods (which was never mentioned and any above post nore the NEW TL) are identical to the H23? But what do you mean by
Well, since this thread is about the new TL, I'd guess what I meant was that the J35 rods are identical to H23. Which is isn't, and they aren't but I'm failing to see how re-explaining myself would clarify the matter when you can just re-read the thread.
So are you saying that the are identical or they are not? When i re-read the post everytime the only two other engines that are mentioned are the B20 and the A series and that one possibly used that same type of rods as the H23, but now you say the are the rods from the Acura J35 engine. I apologize if im simply missing something but im trying to find a cheaper alternative to the crower rods.

damn, this is getting off topic.

yeah, u should try and turbo the A series, id like to see that, but ur def. gona run into soem suspension problems with that lil car, the whole suspension sucks on it, and i dont know if there is much aftermarket support for it, but i sure u can find something

turbo the a series. Id say its worth it because my accord runs pretty good on the a series with boost. Id say that traction is your only problem also. Youd be ahead in the wallet department too, because youll go faster with a series on boost, even on the stock engine, than you will on a B series with the same money into it, and parts are much cheaper. As always, managemant is the key, and you could swap to obd 1 with some wiring, and an obd-1 civic computer and distributor, but i run an safc and btm, even though its not the best, ive hit 13psi spikes a few times and still has no problems... Oh yeah, the a series torque in boost is just as good if not better than an b series anyway.

Umm, i don't mean to interrupt the rants here, but i do believe the a20's in the old-skool preludes are carb'd 12v motors. So, unless you take all the time to find an old 87 or 88 accord LX-I and swap the injection over from that, and then convert again to run a chipped pm6, you're gonna have one helluva time playin around with one of the biggest headaches you'll ever have in your life. Yes, the a20's are nice for the iron block closed deck designs, and i've seen a few old a20 lx-i accords that make around the 300hp range on stock internals, but for the time and money you're going to invest into an old car like that, it might be cheaper to off it and buy something slighlty newer to build.
