Default Trubo ...... advise

Hi Guys......
Iam new to this forum.

Basically i want to reach 140/150bhp from my car.

I only have a 1.5 LSI which is 90BHP factory standard.
Ive not done any car modding, but Iam thinking about modding the car to achive my targets.

At the Moment only thing ive changed is .... the Streo system. and installed a Cold Air Inake. (AEM)

Ive read up here, and trubo'ing a car really intrests me.
I dont want to install NOS. so whats remaining is ..

1) engine swap - which i really dont want to do.
2) Turbo - thinking about it.
3) manifold swap .. new muffler .. ecu reprogram'ing etc.

Ive seen many kits on the market .. like the ones from Greddy and Rev Harder.

The car is my daily driver so need to be relaiable and ecnomical. atm I get 300 miles ish off a full tank and last year I did, 55/60k miles.

The instalation of my AEM KIT has made my car more responsive, but i want a bit more.

The questions I have is ..
1) if i turbop my car what PSI can i run it on stock internals.

2) How will it effect my fuel consumption.

3) will it be relaiable

4) which kit would be better.

5) will it be cheaper to build my kit

6) what kind of performance increase will I see.

ta guys

for your power goals 6-8psi should get you there w/ stock internals

2) How will it effect my fuel consumption.
Depends on how u manage the fuel. FMU = crappy, afc = better and standalone = stock like fuel cons.

3) will it be relaiable
aslong as it's tuned correctly.

4) which kit would be better.
dont utter these words again. we are all about building our own kits.

5) will it be cheaper to build my kit
it'll cost u atleast 3x more to buy a greddy, fmax etc kit then build your own.

6) what kind of performance increase will I see.
6-8 psi on a 1.6 si motor yeilds around 150whp.

good luck.
btw.. questions in this general form should be in the general section.

Where can I read up on fuel economy.
what does AFC mean ?

6-8 psi on a 1.6 si motor yeilds around 150whp.
Mines is an 1.5 LSI which is a 90bhp SOHC.
Isnt the 1.6si a more powerful engine ?

thanks
