i would but i can only mig weld, with tig welding i just make a puddle of crap, i might get a friend too

 

Make friends with someone that welds. Find something that you are good at to trade.

 

If you really don't know anyone that can TIG then you may as well just buy the pipe with flange on it already. If you have to take it into a shop there is no way they'll only charge you $10 as they charge by time and are usually about $70/hr. Nobody is going to take under 1/2hr of work, so best case scenerio is $35 or so. I think flange pipes are cheaper than that.

 

u can make one mig welding as well

 

go to a bike shop, typically someone there can weld alum because all the casings are made out of alum.

thats where i learned to tig, at my dads shop, they weld transmission and engines all the time.
