Re:TD04L-13G with 18psi???
its a ct20 a from a toyota truck, its a bit bigger than a td04l, and smaller than a t28.
but i get full boost at 4800rpm. boost starts of around 3000 rpm, no leak whatsoever, i use 2.5" pipe on my intake.

Re:TD04L-13G with 18psi???
wonder if the wastegate puck isn't fully resting on the turbine housing...
If its smaller than a .42/.48, then it should spool pretty fast ( a lot faster than you are reporting ).
Either way the TD04L-13T is a great turbo, even more so if your goal is 200whp ( its about dead money for the best throttle/boost reponse with enough CFM to make more than 200whp ).

I didn't mean what engine it comes from, but what are you running the turbo on
I read something about you using it on a Mitsu lancer...maybe that's the reason why Head doesn't flow so good or manifold leaking..??

Re:TD04L-13G with 18psi???
i actually have lots of tension already on the wastegate, plus ive added a carb spring to help close it.
the spring is very stiff.
its a good turbo though, once full boost hits, i can feel it till redline.
