taking t3 wheel off
i'm taking the wheel, backing plate, and housing off a .60 trim t-bird turbo, and i have one question. what do you guys use to hold the wheel while taking the nut off so it doesn't spin
just a vise grips on the end of the exhaust wheel?
just a vise grips on the end of the exhaust wheel?
depending on how ground up the nut on the turbine is, you can either use vise grips or put in a vise. To get the compressor wheel to come off without damaging it, take the nut off it, take the compressor cover off, and take out the 4 bolts for the backing plate, and tap gently around the backing plate with a hammer to tap the compressor wheel off.
