Default What the ---- is the point of taking off your oil pan???

Okay, im doing my install and i keep hearing ppl talk about their oil pan and blah blah blah. Why cant i just drill the damn hole, screw in my brass fitting, and jb weld it up and then thats the end of that

because then you wont be able to get the meatle shaving out of your oil pan that fall in.

so unbolt the 25 bolts or whatever for a few metal shavings Im tempted not to take off the pan.

few metal shavings? rofl ok do it, i wanna see your engine soon!!! lets see where is that metal going to go? turbo perhaps? i dunno lets find out, drill the oil pan and jb weld it up and drive it.

not taking the oil pan off would be stupid! take the time and do it right so you dont ---- up your motor. who cars it will take you 45 minutes to take it off and do it. i suggest doing it. but its up to you

lol. I highly suggest doing that. Imagine that going through your turbo.. then your motor.. Not a good thing. Remember. Do things right the first time.

no guys take back your posts, let him learn the hard way if he thinks its stupid to take it off. personally i'd say try it.. prove us wrong blah blah blah..

Well there is a chance he could do it and not have terrible issues. Also has to do with how clean of a driller he is. But let me tell ya. There was allot of shards in mine once it was cut. And also if that stuff went through your turbo.. I'd expect oil blockage. Now that would suck.

for real I was scared and kinda pissed because there was like maybe 1 lillte bitty microscopic shaving I couldnt get. But hey eveyone dif. and some people are perfectionist.
