How can I tell what trim my t3 is?

Theres usually a number on the casing on the turbo. its gonna be like 42 48 or 63 maybe 60 aswell. Whats it off of.

I believe that the trim is determined by the size of the turbine rotor in mm.

FYI...

Those numbers (the ones on the housing) are the a/r of the housing, not the trim. The "trim" usually refers to the compressor trim,and is the size of the compressor wheel. But both wheels have a "trim". No idea what yours is.

The only way to know for sure is to take the compressor housing off and measure the the compressor wheel (unless somebody knows the trim for a stock 85 saab turbo). Check out this post on HT for some good info... http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=708622

The exducer diameter on all these turbos are the same, but the inducer diameter and flow rate are different.

Super 60

T3 60 trim

T3 50 trim

T3 45 trim

T3 40 trim
