Default T3/T4 Quick Question...

What's up guys! Just a quick question:
My buddy just got a T4 and he wants me to build a T3/T4 hybrid for his DSM.. I'm wondering if there's a write-up on this anywhere, of if anybody knows how.

Thanks!!

How to bolt it up or how to build a hybrid? T3 would be turbine housing, T4 would be Compressor. Not sure if that's what you're asking. Anyway, I just got one too...kind of fun. A tad more lag, but nothing big.

Thanks for the quick reply! I need to know how to build the actual turbo, how to attach the t3 exhaust side the the t4 center section, or the t4 intake side to the t3 center section.. I'm not sure how they go together.

Well with the way it was for me, I had the T3 turbine housing already for my regular turbo. Then I ordered a new T4 compressor and center section and it bolts right up. This was a Mercedes style Garrett turbo. My parts were new and the guy who sold them to me ordered directly from Mercedes...so that's how they do it. Just make sure that the compressor wheel is T4 and the Turbine is T3 size.

yeah, it's not as easy as bolting a t3 exhaust housing to a t4, you have to have the t3 exhaust wheel also, i wouldn't suggest attempting it your self unless you have experience with building/re building turbos.

It is easy if you have the complete t3 and the t4 compressor housing + wheel. A t3/t4 is a t3 exhaust/center with a t4 compressor wheel/housing. The rest of the t4 gets junked.

Bolt the t4 backing plate / comp wheel / housing on the t3 center section. keep the t3 side as it is. Throw the t3 compressor + wheel away (or sell them). I reccomend balancing, but who knows, if your ghetto enough, just tighten it down and give it a whirl
