I am putting together my first turbo setup for z6 and I just won this T3 off SAAB in an auction, should I be worried about the white walls inside the exhaust section, what kind of conditions could have caused this ?

I'd have to definately say someone took a power tool to it trying to clean it up. That's all. When you get it, a white color on the turbine blades could be a sign of high heat, which could be a bad thing, but could also mean nothing. That looks more like a clean up job than a heat issue.

Thanks, I`ll chenk the blades when I will get it.
It will start spinning in spring, then I will know the condition.
