I was wanting to know is there any way to thread the inlet hole on a T3 Saab Turbo so that you dont have to get the little Flange

 

yes. thats what i did with mine.
put some grease in the veins of the tap.

 

What did you do about metal shaving getting inside the turbo?

 

 

you can also try to tap the turbo upside down. id did it that way but it was a little tricky.

 

Yes, upside down is good and when you are done tapping, you get in there all the way to the very bottom of the hole with the air gun (equipped with a straw obviously smaller than the oil hole) and then all the shavings will be blown out. If using this method, WD40 on the tap is better than grease.

Oh... When doing so, try to keep you face away.

 

if u like piercings put ur face as close as possible
