Default t3 journal bearing size differences.

Well, I've done some damage to a few t3s via high EGTs and it looks like restriction from a small inline filter.
I'm rebuilding a t3 that I bought from the gpop shop. I had about 200 miles on this turbo. Pretty standard issue, hot side bearing started to fail and the shaft gets the out of spec wobbles. I got to it before doing any major damage.

Marked the compressor position on the shaft etc.

I have a set of journal bearings which I dropped in. The interesting thing is that they sit loose in the housing. That's bad (and unexpected).
Mic the originals: 16mm (outer diameter).
Mic the replacements 15.75 (outer diameter).

Are there "oversize" bearings for t3s? WTF?

Figured it out.. the center sections can be rebuilt (and overbored) also. Bearings come in standard, .005 over, .010 over, etc.
