Noob question guys. i am tryin to get started on my turbo setup. does a saab 2.0 or 2.3 turbo have a t3 flange?

 

2.3L ford - tbird, svo, xr4ti.. Yes.

Some Saab.. not sure about all.

 

I think Saab's are t-25, t-3, and some funky type of t-3 that needs to be filled to use.

 

what does "filled to use" mean?

 

Meaning it has a circular type of hole in a standard square t3 flange...there were some pics floating around here somewhere that showed what I'm talking about, check Blaast's webpage too, he might have one. Or just ask him to post one
I've seen one of 2 things done with that style flange...people weld the circular part of the lip to make it rectangle again and grind it down, or they just grind it until it transistions rectangle again without the welding. Post a pic of the flange and we can tell you what it is.

 

don't the round flanges come on volvos? I think the saabs turbos have a normal T3 flange



That's an adapter plate I found when I googled volvo T3 The turbos on volvos look like the side with the circular hole.

 

You're right...I got the 2 confused. Volvo, Saab, both are piles of euro junk :P
