Default t3 equivelant

so doing some searching and i'm noticing a lot of people talking about the volvo t3's, saab t3s and dsm turbos but with other names. i'm just wondering what is the equivelant of the garrett t3 turbo? i'm wanting to push 8psi on my accord, hope to get up to about 215hp on it. also, which of these are going to have the internal wastegate? i'm looking for that when i buy my turbo.

t3's come in so many different trims its a very generic term for the standard flange

where are you looking for the turbo at?

a saab or volvo garrett is most common t3

most have a adjustable swingvalve preload

saab and volvo junkyards are where i'm heading out for this week to go turbo hunting for a t3.

but, after more searching, i've been looking more for a

Garrett T3/TO4E 50 Trim W/.48 A/R

Compressor Specs:
flow: 46lbs/min 588cfm
50 Trim
Turbine Specs:
.48 A/R Housing
Stage 3 Wheel

with an internal wastegate

have those been used in any cars yet as stock? if not i'll stick to a used t3 but if i could find one of those i'd be in heaven.

and umm i'm still sort of a newb at this but, "adjustable swingvalave preload" means? that has something to do with the wastegate right?

thanks

ok I know you have seen the little canister on a turbo
that is essentially the actuator control
it is set at a certain spring rate
when the rod that goes to the swingvalve has threads
you actually adjust the spring tension
generically tightning the spring inside and adjusting where it will open the integral wastegate

No. That's a hybrid turbo. No mass produced car that I'm aware of has ever had one. If you're going to buy new, I'd look at the Precision SC line of turbo's too.
