Default T3 Boost = T25 Boost???

I was always curious about this. I know that the T25 will spool sooner than my T3, but since my T3 is bigger will it provide a bigger punch? I don't really know how else to explain this, but is 7psi on a T25 the same as 7psi on a T3? Is it like a universal thing?

no it is not the same. A bigger turbo will make more power at the same psi.

Thanks. LOL. BTW. LOL. What's that other crap about in this thread about banning? I read that and was like WTF?!?! LOL. Anyway, thanks alot. Now a quick question about my lag. I just realized my turbo isn't a .42/.48 like I was told. In fact, it's a .48/.63. So just a rough estimate when do you think my turbo will hit full boost at 8psi? How much more whp from my T3 compared to oh say a T25? BTW, the turbo is going to be on my d16y8. Thanks fellas! Oh yea, I vote Fletch to be banned (if there is a Fletch, I'm just kidding :P)

That .63 should be at full boost somewhere in the 4k rpm range.

As far as how much HP one will make more than the other, you need to find some compressor maps so you can see the effiency of both turbos side by side.It all depends on how you are going to use that power. If you want instant boost and low end torque then the t25 is it.If you dont mind some lag but wnat to go ***** out then the t3 is the one you want.

You say the t25 will have low end torque (what I want) but what numbers would I be close to with the t25 at around 7-9psi on a stock d16a6? I wanna get in the lower 200s but want torque and dont know which turbo could give me a decent combo. I know the t25 isnt the best turbo so which other turbo should I consider for high torque numbers. I wanna be able to pull threw the gears like crazy on the hatchback/crx. Mainly going for the handling and acceleration and not so much high speed. I figure the car should be real fun with short gears and a turbo.

Give me a little imput on this guys? Sorry for all the newb questions but we all are young and dumb at one point and im at that point. But at least I do realize that im not as smart as people older then me.

Hondas arent built for torque so you wont get hihg torque numbers unless you lower the compression and get it tuned perfectly. The t25 properly tuned will net you around 200hp but will fall on its face up top.Ive seen cars build boost at idle with a t25.If you wnat acceleration and not worried about redlineing every gear then the t25 is what you need.
