The 14b and T-25 are both great turbos for junkyard setups, they are nearly identicle in flange/size.. But the 14b is definatly a larger turbo, that will flow more "CFM" at a certain PSI.

Both turbos are more then capable of blowing your little d16z6 up. Since stock rods on D-series are so small.

I think what your better off doing is finding the cheaper of the 2.. If you find a T25 for 75 bucks, or a 14b for 125... go with the T-25, their really isnt that much of a differnece, especially pre-teen boost levels. The T-25 definatly spools alot faster than the 14b, which makes great for driving around on the street.

Good luck

when a guy i know swapped a 14b for his T-25...it was actually quite a bit quicker, suprisingly.

On a DSM, YES.. you would defiantly notice a pretty good gain. Since on a T-25 you are pretty much already reaching max efficiency at 12-15psi.. Where that is right where the 14b makes most its power.

But when your working with little d16's these turbos don’t make that much of a difference.
