has anyone had any trouble threading the t piece on the back of the block? i know i have the right size and all that, but the damn thing just wont seem to start threadin in!

Maybe i have some kind of old sealent or ptfe in the thread? would it harm the block or threads if i run a tap down the threads to clear them?

What size is the thread?

the thread in the block is bspt and u are probably using a npt fitting it should still go in just not quite as smooth i think the npt has 1 more thread per inch.if u run a tap down threw it theres a good chance sometyhing might fall down in ur motor and u dont want that
