I heard from someone today that it isn't good to run synthetic oil when you go turbo? Is it true?

 

Depends on the age of the motor/turbo. On anything new I would say no.

If it's an older engine then try and stage it down to full synthetic. My brother's GST has been ran with basic 10w30 oil for it's known life of 80k miles and my brother switched to castrol syntec blend and he said it made a big difference in the driving. We will goto full synthetic next oil change (he has had 2 oil changes with the half/half ----).
