Default Surging Temp gauge from coolant lines?

this is something I just noticed. When I rev up the engine or take off, my engine temp gauge drops instantly to the bottom and then returns to normal. The last thing I changed for this to happen was simply replace a coolant line to the turbo. I spilled the mess all over the place (gravity) and just filled the rest up with water... (wasn't alot). Did air get in there or something? Had me worried when I went into boost and saw the needle drop like that....

Probably air would be my guess.
