Sup... B16a turbo problems (just finished project)
Ok, i just finished my b16a turbo, turn it over with out touching the pedal, it starts runs a 2k then dies. If i give it one third throttle it will run but the rpms go from 2k to 2.5k over and over. IF i let it die its harder to start again.
Things i know
1.) Spark wires are in the right order.
2.) Cams and crank pully line up with TDC
3.) Im running TE with 450s dsm, i tried to lean it out or richen it up with my vfac and no change. I have gas (45 psi), i got only one CEL for ELD (maybe i need better grounds?)
4.) I cant do the ignition timing because i cant get it to stay running but tis the same wiht the dizzy all the way foward, back and in the middle
Any ideas?
ps hte plugs fowled after about 5 minutes of running

my setup
b16a1/ Cometic head gasket (9.9:1), ARP Studs, Portflow valve springs, skun2 manifold, GSR t body (for cold idle due ot skunk2 mani), inline pro manifold, innovative t3/t4 57 trim .63 ar, tial 38mm, tial 50mm bov, 3"dp, #7 ngk plugs, DIY piping, GSR cams and skunk gears, ACT clutch, GSR hydro tranny, HASPORT eb2 hydro kit, 9*27" I/C, pm6 with TE running newexperiment bin (the one that fixes the rev limiter problem.
I dont think its my base map b/c the NA maps are the same as a stock pr3 and when i get above 3k it seems to run smooth exept when i try to hold an idle (maybe its the lanch control?? but its happens only at low rpms)

it's very possible that its your injector scaling. with 450cc injectors, your NA maps should not be the same as with a non-boost rom. your going to have to cut down your injector pulsewidth to get the car to run/idle.
make sure that you have 450cc injectors selected in the properties.

i thought that n/a maps work fine for the preboost setting (n/a=n/a?)of the motor and that u just use the boost eff. and the injector scale to work it down. Tell me what u think of the map. Does that serging of rpms sound like a being rich issue?
i just used the vfac to do an on hte fly adjustment

Here's another idea..
replace your burned rom with a stock rom or stock ECU. set your VAFC at -35% across the board (just for testing)
see if the car will start. It should run *decent* on this setup, so if it doesnt, you have a problem elsewhere. If it runs alot better, your problem lies in the rom.
what are the values in the idle range of your NA fuel map?
check your plugs..black indicates rich, white indicates lean, although its pretty well figured out you're running hella rich
