Default stupid leaky bitch

well i've had this nasty turbo lag problem for awhile, and i've been slowly trying to figure it out. couldn't get a .42 .48 to spool until 4500 rpm's, same w/ the .60 .48. what i've tried- found one leak in the charge pipe, cooler doesn't leak, bov doesn't leak, and the couplers are good, and mani/turbo flange doesn't leak. what i'm trying- new injector seals, covering up the hole for the internal wastegate or putting a gasket on it. anyone know where to find a gasket for this can't seem to dig one up. any more suggestions as to where i should be looking?

make sure im understanding this right, you're running an external wastegate setup on a turbo that was originally internal, and you think the original wg hole is leaking, right?

can you take a pic of how its set up now? usually the downpipe flange you end up using just blocks that hole off.

if you have no luck finding a gasket, i suggest finding a home depot or somewhere that can supply some really thin sheet metal (im talking like paper thin), cut yourself a gasket outta that. maybe do two of them, so they can squish together.

however, if its not sealing, and this is a homemadedownpipe, it may have warped the flange slightly during weld (mine did). I had a flat plane sander at work handy so i just milled it down flat again. you might need to do that.

test it for warp first.

put a flat edge across the flange, then use feeler gauges to check for gap on the outisde edges or in the center. depending on which way it bowed when it warped.

a leaky downpipe flange will cause a slower spool?
