i found a brass nut and an "o" ring at a plumbing specialty store.it seals like a charm.

That's what I did on my last one, but I was worried about the nut falling off on the inside so I JB welded it anyways.

----, I didn't even sand the paint off of my oil pan. That ---- holds fine. My car was lucky that I cleaned the oil off before I JB'd it in there.
