The wastegate in a 14b is set to 7lbs from the factory, correct?
Should I look into an mbc (nog style or otherwise) or just keep the 7lbs its at? I don't know now that I'm looking at a 14b for a turbo on my 2.3, how much boost to run to make 200whp+ I'm not looking at much more than that.

i think it is 9 at least that what my 14b pout out on my zc with stock wg

i like the 14b on a h23

the 14b can put out about 230hp. i'm thinking that 9psi on a 14b will put the h23 right around 210hp+

Do I need an mbc or :3 ?
If it's set stock to 9lbs then I'll leave it (210 is sounding nice), but IIRC I read that the stock setting was 7. Nonetheless, this should be fun.
Cleaning out the garage (a ------- trainwreck) as we speak and trying to find all the missing tools for the toolbox.
Anything not listed that you guys think I should look into? (the whole setup is not on here, haven't thought that far ahead.)
Basically 14b, dsm mani, dsm 1g bov, 450s, walbro 255, boost gauge and 2.5 bar motorola, oil feed/return.
That's what I'll have soon and/or already have.

sweet sounds good

i think they hold 7psi on a stock dsm becouse there is some boost regulator thingy

but the stock wg'ed 14b on my zc held 9psi

He's correct stock 14b does 9psi if its clocked in its original position. I also agree with the T3 flange welded as a cheap upgrade.

I ported Kalam's Ching Chong Meow mani for $20 so I guess thats the going rate at the moment.

Toda, my CRX is nearly complete. Will post pics soon.

i was debating removing that little seperating flap in the dsm manifold output. you know the one that seperates the front and rear ports. good idea or bad ?

Ive always cut the flap down bout halfway to remove the actual restriction, past that its pointless.
And then just cleaned up the rest of the ports and enlarge the actual turbo outlet only if your porting the turbo to match. The inlets of the manifold I always go 2mm larger around to help reduce reversion. As a rule of thumb the inlets to the manifold should always be a bit larger than the exhaust ports to create a "step"

Ahhh yes. Pics of the rex are in order.
I'll be happy when Christmas comes and I hopefully get some money, that's all I asked for this year. Probably use half of it to start paying mom back for all this ---- and the other half on... you know. ;)
Rob, Andrew is selling me that brand new 255 and 4/450s for $135.
Turbo/ported mani=$75 ($5 tip cause I'm cool like that. O0 )
Whatever else you think you can do with the turbo/mani to hook me up with something nogfancy let me know and I'll toss you some extra cash.

Also just checked in the sticky at the top of the page, it says a dsm t25 and 14b are both set at 8lbs on the stock wg. Works for me. :y
