i know the manifolds are supposedly crap but has anybody ever heard anything about the wastegates the sell on ebay?

 

i've got one and it works/looks awesome! i got mine off groupbuycenter.com for 160 shipped i also have an ssshit mani, and it held up fine for 5 mos., then the welds on the braces came loose and it cracked to ---- within a day, so i got it welded back up, welded more braces on it and it's better than new now. other than the braces falling off and it cracking the manifold, which i'm not surprised with no support, a heavy *** turbo, basically your whole exhaust, and a wg hanging off of it. it will prolly last forever now with better braces. VIVA LA SS AUTO FECES!!!!!!!!!1

 

Arnt their wastegates like 175 bucks on ebay? Just for like 25 bucks more you can get the real deal Tial.

 

when i was looking, the cheapest tials i saw on ebay were like 220 plus shipping, so you're looking at 240 shipped at least, i was about to get one, but just happened to look on groupbuycenter and they had the 38mm for 160 shipped.

 

I sold my wannabe Tial for $100 shipped.

ha, there was a kid in the classifieds trying to sell one for 250 the sad thing is, he actually posted the link to where he bought it from, and it was an actual company that sold it to him for 269 plus shipping, i felt sorry for the kid

 

hey, you said you have a ssautochrome header right? i have one to but i never put the turbo on. i want to reinforce it, but i have no clue where? where exactly did you weld more supports at? did you mig or gas weld?

 

did yours come with any supports at all? if so, just reinforce those welds holding the suports to the flanges. you may also want to put a small brace going from the waste gate flange to the turbo flange. other than that, it should hold up, the only problem with mine was the welds holding the original supports busted, then it had no support at all and cracked to ---- within a day.

 

thats what i was thinking about doing because everybody you talk to says that if you reweld the braces then it last without any cracks. plus they are a lot cheaper and look a little better then most manifolds out there.
