some more progress~ t4 boosted h22 eg updated and painted!!

Well i got my motor back from the shop. everything turned out pretty good too~
Attachment 21405 i brought them all of my parts, block (darton sleeves) crank stock pistons (wiseco 8.5:1) rods (crower) KZ speed balance shaft removal kit i pressed all that in before taking it to them. acl bearings gasket kit ARP main studs everything was in good order too! i was afraid of some specs like the crank from a toasted motor but it was good, and bearing size and piston size this block is bored 1mm over so im at 88mm Attachment 21406 Attachment 21407 got a good deal on them Attachment 21408 88mm 8.5 cr next month i will be taking my head in to get cleaned and springs installed and planned too. Attachment 21409 i have a cometic and ARP head studs, on order a clutch from LSD their own 6 puck hopefully i can put the bottom end in next weekend if the clutch gets here. come pics of my cage that was installed this fall. i have it all jammed right now it will be goin in for final paint this spring and be on the road i hope... :S i hope.. still need glass(windshield) radiator fuel pump injectors.. and a lot of other bullshit
E85 is going to be my fuel of choice :D 2.40 a gallon at 106 octane bitches. |

umm depending on how effecient my setup is.. seems to be alright minimal intercooler piping, and a turbo that spools pretty well, im hoping for 500 hp at least. and dd my wastegate is 8 but for fun 18-22 just depends on how much it takes to make my 500 mark 1000's on e85 are good for that and thats it.. then i have to go to 1600s for anymore but your milage drops and its not much of a dd then.. i will have to snatch some shot of the interior with my new recarro seat i picked up for 100 bones..

LOVE the color choice! Sooooo, what all is different for you to run E85, because I thought motors that ran it were slightly different in the components they used or something. I've heard you're not suppose to run it if your car wasn't made to run it....Don't know thought, so I ask. :)

It probably will again, and again, and again till I get the H2B kit and bolt up the S4C trans I have on the shop floor. I have 4 trans worth of parts now so I'm fine for the next year or so

right bdvt?? i have hasports, and i had a set of drive shaft shops but i snapped one.. so now i just have some ebay ones that are supposedly rated higher(only becuz i it was a quick fix last summer. |

What stage of the DDS axles broke, I have snapped 3 passender side stage 2's but yet to break the stage 3's even runninh 23 in tall slicks.
Auto tensioner goes without warning, If you dont have a LSD you need to get one to distribute the power evenly otherwise you'll break trans"thats why I mentioned BDVT, You can get the external timing adjuster from http://www.explicitspeedperformance.net/H22Aalt.html I believe. It goes where the P.S. mounted to. Good to see that you got the Kaizenspeed kit, I rock one and it's nice to have the increase of pressure and extra room between the strut frame support and the timing belt area. |

Jar: ---- the manual tensioner is only 23 bux froim majestic, and you DONT need all the little bullshit that you might think from looking in the diagram... You just need the H23 tensioner. You have to put a big washer behoind it to space it out to line up propperly, then you just use the ballancewr pulley on the outside for a spacer.... tighten that bitch up... and youre good to go!!!! The belt is TIGHT gioing on for some reason, but we can adress that if you choose to do it. I WOULD (did). For the record, ive been running OEM prelude axles out of a 99.... Havent broke an axle... YET... ---- id much rather be doing that instead of trannys!!!!! Hopin that vcalve does the trick. As for explicitspeed.net.... Great people products and very helpful. I talk to John semi regularly (he is local) and hes helped me out EVERY time with even random ----. |

i think they go for like 600 or some ---- the hatch was all ready swapped when i bought the car, it had been sitting for 2 years before i bought it. rust free :D but yea the H was in it. and i boosted it. and one day the wastegate didnt open and maxed out my 20 pound boost gauge :4 haha it was amazing! until the motor let loose with the melting and popping and the headgasket blew out too. along with chunks of the block pounding around in there destroying everything in there. and the with all of the heat the head melted also. i just really want to be done with this to take it to the track this summer. it should rips pretty well!

My Macnist charged me $250 to install the L.A. Sleeve Performer sleeves and my egine builder charged me $500 to assemble the bottom end. Byt thats been many moons ago, sure , I bet the prices have jumped a lil though

$250 is what my machine shop told me for sleeves, I thought that was dirt cheap but I guess its on par. I was kinda concerned he would do it right but I guess i'll go with it.

i bought the bare sleeved block for 750 shipped they are dartons, and it was 370 my assembly and machine work but that 370 is with $110 arp main studs. thats wil decking and bore/hone balance checking and all that good ----.

yup yup this shop is really good its a few older guys that just run/ own it.. they are amazing at what they do. last year they won at some e85 convention thing in ohio, breaking the dyno(i hear) but it put out 7XX crank HP N/A.
ordered the tensioner. when it gets here i will look and see what else i need i will need a spring for sure and the keeper/ holder for the spring also. my lsd clutch came today! haha had to put a clutch in my ------- galant i was getting owned in some snow and tore it up bad and the master is leaking too.. damn thing. |

got the bottom end and tranny in this weekend! i have started on the wiring now. and cleaning up random ----, cvs are in clutch is bled, i will have to get some pics sometime, i called up hasport but they cant get the corrects bolts that i need for my tranny mount anymore which is bullshit. hopefully have the head back after i buy valves. and i picked up that manual tensioner i just need a couple things to finish that off with.

it was a kit, pretty much just came with the hoop and length of pipe and everything else was fabbed and welded in, and the welded in rear strut bar was my idea.. seats fit nice too. passenger has limited leg room,

i ordered supertech valve springs seems to be the best for the money. they should be here and the head will be goin in next week! just a grind on the valves clean it up and install the springs. i might be picking up an old school crx for 100 buck from some kid that i know! im pretty pumped so i can get some better mileage than my gsx galant! haha
i have a pretty badass fuel setup in mind that i think should work really well too! here is what i have been up to with this build! i've got the motor in with the new clutch from LSD :D Attachment 20987 Attachment 20988 Attachment 20989 Attachment 20990 i forgot to take a lot of photos but its nothign huge haha, i have been ordering some random parts to convert to manual tensioner too! i bought the spring bearing and the two bolts from honda, the head is all on there so i can clean up the wiring part of it and i got the starter to click so im pretty happy there after simplifiing the wiring harness A LOT. and my daily driver decided to take a ---- on me haha Attachment 20991 Attachment 20992 Attachment 20993 my buddy ryan helping me out with the new clutch and there are the CV's i took out of it im glad some of my friends are DSM guys they hooked me up with some talon awd cv's my AWD 5 speed 46g3 galant! awesome dd but only gets like 20mpg Attachment 20994 |
