single turbo mustang idea...

Re: single turbo mustang idea...
it's going to go back and have 2 o2 bungs on it just back to a muffler i guess...no cats...
the only problem i have is a friend of mine said the MAF sensor has to be in the intake on the turbo and not in the charge pipe...which isn't a problem but them he told me the blow off valve had to be recirulated into the intake like this
he said if it isn't then the car won't run right when ur at idle...just like on an eclipse/talon/laser the blow off is recirculated. any input?

Re: single turbo mustang idea...
On any MAF system, you need to recirculate the BOV.
Your MAF meters how much air is coming in to your engine, and if you dump your BOV to atmo then some of the air that was metered is lost. The ecu is already injecting fuel into the engine to mix with that air that is no longer being intaked into your engine, and you run rich for the moment.
MAP systems don't have this problem, so you can run an open BOV.

Re: single turbo mustang idea...
so i can run it like i have it in the second picture? or should i put the MAF in the charge pipe and reroute the blow off valve back into the charge pipe? it's a stock Lightning MAF. i dunno what my friend was talking about blow through or suck through MAF's...
