should i get this turbo?
its from a turbo thunderbird. (2.3L ford turbo) its a garrett T3, .60 A/R
compressor housing, .63 A/R turbine housing. i am pretty sure its a
standard 60 trim compressor wheel in there and a standard T3 wheel.
there's no shaft play, but the center section (bearing jacket) is stuck to
the turbine housing. i have the bolts off the compressor housing no
problem, i cut the bolts off the turbine housing but the turbine housing is
pretty stuck to the bearing jacket. i needed to clock the turbo to get it
to work on my car..i can't and that's why i'm selling it. there are no
shops near my school that want to work on it. i'm pretty sure u need to
take it to a shop to get them to take it apart. i'm pretty sure it doesn't
need a rebuild and that its in decent shape. the guy i bought it off said
that it was still boosting hard when he parted out the car because
something else went wrong with the motor.
it comes with the 02 housing (the start of the downpipe) and a WG actuator
that's set to 12psi.
i'll hold it for you no problem for $100cdn, and i guess if you want it i'd
just drive up and give it to you and take the cash from you
then. basically. i think a shop should be able to get it apart and tap out
the bolts easy. but i don't have the tools nor access to a shop. that's
the only reason i'm selling it. its a good size and i think in usable
shape but i'm selling it cheap since it needs a bit of work before it can
be used.
should i take it? good friend of mine but he lives in the states... for school.. sounds good to me

sorry if i mislead anyone.. my friend is gonna send me the turbo once i send him the cash =) was wondering how much it would cost to fix it =)

oops, didnt read through all the way.. 
It can come off no problem, just beat the backside of the compressor with a hammer until the center section comes off.. Some are tougher than others.
How much would it cost? I have no idea.
