Default Safe to tap a coupler for WG?

I picked up a Samco coupler elbow today. Is it safe to tap for my WG nipple there? my charge pipe is wicked thin so i dont wanna tap that. Or once again, should i stop crying and just buy a tap and tap my compressor housing.

You should buy a T fitting and run one off a vac line off the IM.

persoanlly i would rather always tap as close to the compressor as i can. if you tap manifold and have a leak between the source and the turbo you could be spooling (hypothetical) 30 psi just to make 10 psi in the manifold....WAY overspinning the turbo...also robbing power....

check this fitting...works great f or tapping a coupler

I always like to go off the manifold as well. Then you dont have to worry about any pressure loss through the intercooler as the CFM increases. Its just rock solid boost. If you have a big enough boost leak it wont matter if the source is near the compressor or intake manifold. It wont be able to build pressure as easily either way.
