cruising at 80mph mine sits at about 1175. It should not go beyond 1400 on a pull. That is a sign of lean conidtions. I have my probe on runner #3 about an inch or 2 from the head.

b16crxt your temps sound perfect. i was gonna mount my egt probe in the center of my log mani right near my wg/#3 runner

isnt #1 the hottest cylinder? 1600 does sound like alot

I've always heard #3. But I did crqack ringlands only on number 1, so that may be...

leaner does give you more power, but why would you want lean? its not safe

#3 is hotter because its between 1 and 2 and something dealing with the firing order or something like that
