Default safe with 5psi no tune?

cant really afford ems but would like to boost my b16 a little. aiming for 5psi, either internally gated off an old nissan 200 or 300, old saab, or just buy a 5psi external wastegate.

question is, will i be safe running 5psi on a stock motor with bolt ons with an fmu and missing link? opinions are nice, expert info would be awesome, and experience with the same situation would be great.

as long as you have some type of enrichment during boost you will be fine. the fmu is not a tune so it will run rich in some rpm ranges and extremely rich in other rpm ranges. this will give you less power and reliability than actually having the ecm tuned with larger injectors. since your only boosting 5 psi go with an internal wastegate. the stock motor will be fine at 5 psi. make sure you use 93 octane fuel.
