Default had 9.5psi now only 5psi were did it go??

d16y7 with teo4h with internal wastgate
i had a consistent 9.5 psi for first few days. then all of a sudden all i can get is 5psi. if i unhook the wastgate i get 7-8psi. i looked n looked for any leaks anywhere n cant find anything. the wastegate does close as far as i can tell. i am running the factory pcv setup. could this be where my problem lies? take it easy on me this is my first boost experience lol

It seems to me that there may be a leak in the diaphragm of the wastegate actuator thingy lol. Is this unheard of? I say that cause it is back to bout atleast 9.5 psi not hooked up but hooked up it goes up to 6psi then drops to 5 n stays there. Plz any help would be much appreciated. Thanx

Tested for leak. No leaks anywhere. Including diaphragm I'm thinkin of just making a home made controller

if the wastegate actuator diaphram was leaking you would get more boost. try adjusting the wastegate actuator rod.

I didn't know it was adjustable. I just tried unhooking it n turning it. But it didn't seem like it moved. N it still only hit 5psi. So I made a controller to put in the line from the turbo to the actuator. N the no psi when unhooked problem was a plugged exhaust. Was pieces of cat coming out the exhaust. Which is weird cause this car hasn't had a cat for yrs. Anyway I think I'm back on track the controller seems to work good so far.
