rotating a tdo5

Re: rotating a tdo5
That's the first time I've heard it called the intake side...I believe you're referring to your compressor cover. You need to unbolt your turbo from the manifold, and get a set of snap ring pliers. There is a snap ring on the inside of your compressor housing(what you called the intake side). If you've never fucked with a snap ring...have fun. Those are some particularly aggravating bastards right there for sure. I think you'll be able to figure out how to get the ring out. Then you can take the cover off and rotate it to where you want it to be positioned. Then put the ring back in.

over all it's easy
there is a notch with a pin. you have to drill out the pin or grind it out. the snap ring comes out a lot easier the it goes back in.
i broke a harbor freight snap ring pliers trying to put it back in. yours looks a lot cleaner then mine was so a bunch of gunk won't be in your way like mine. i had to clean the ---- out of mine.
oh and before you put the snap ring back in make sure it's gonna fit where you want it. i clocked mine and went to install it and my radiator was in the way so i had to clock it back a little.
