how do you guys make flanges?

I was trying to plasma cut them, but it was too hot and the metal was warping...

I tried cold cutting, with a combo of chop saws, cut off tools, and my drill press, but it looked sloppy and was taking forever...

any tips appreciated

I take anything I do to a local machine shop. They'll mill flanges out of plate fairly cheap, and they usually have scrap metal laying around to use.

I had mine cut with an acetalyne torch... then used a rotary tool with a file attachement (try carbide) to smooth it out... then used an angle grinder to chanfer it out.... and finally used a drill to make the bolt holes... it looked like ----.. but it worked... took forever though... might just want a machine shop to do it if it wont cost too much
