im currently having a bad boost creep problem 12 + psi ( .48/.60 t3 hf mani 8ish psi internal wastagate )
wastegate operate properly but dont flow enough to do a good job


my goal is to run at 10 psi
i wonder if the revhard mani will place my turbo to close or directly in my full size rad. I need to run an external wategate to solve my problem
anyone got a pic of that mani in an ef??

or get a different boost controller the ebay cheepies are untrust worthy

 

if your talking about the actuato it aint come from ebay...
it an original garrett
bought it from blaast ( the shop is near by )
actuator work.. guetto tested it ( compressed air)

 

Well if its set to 8psi Id imagine you are forcing more air out that gate than if you set it to 10psi. Also, can you take the internal gate off and have a look at it? My buddy had a turbo with an internal gate that was about as big of a hole as my pinky finger. Freakin small. So we ported it out with a dremel to the size of my thumb and the flapper still covered it just fine. Fixed the problem

Another option would be to bore out the hole where your O2 is going and weld a wg flange on that, works great for me and the external is set to hold a very consistant 9lbs no matter what

yeah, just mount the WG on the HF mani, put it where the o2 sensor goes and put the o2 sensor on your downpipe, like he said.
