Alright, so their are 8 yellow wires in the OBD1 Honda injector wire pack, and they basically are attached to nothiing since they are saturated and don't need resistors. When wiring the Resistor pack you take the 4 power wires and solder them to the 4 black wires on the R pack, then the 4 remaining yellow wires get soldered to the 1 red wire from the R pack correct? So, is there any need for the stock grey clip in the Honda or from the resistor pack?

 

I know someone knows this, responses welcome

 

Here is what you do.
You cut the 4 wires from the connector to the injectors.Take 1 black wire to each of the yellow wires going to the injectors(fron the power clip).You then take 1,I repeat 1 wire from the power connector and connect it to the red on the R box.You can cap the other 3 comming out of the connector.You need the clip on there couse thats just a jumper clip and feeds the +(positive) to other things under the hood.You wont need the clip from the R box after you cut it.

Why do I need the clip? That was my only question. I followed the directions from Hondata thanks Doc :P Thr clip runs to other stuff under the hood then I guess? But the clip isn't connected to anything, it is just sitting there as a jumper between the power wires and the other wires, it is almost as if it is set up for a resistor box. A more complete answer on why I need the clip would be nice, but I guess if thats all I can get.

 

Hmmm...not sure what the other wires are for.

I have seen some people actually rig the plug so they can plug the resistor box directly into it so it doesn't look so shitty.

Next time you ask a question read the replys all the way through .

Look inside the clip.It has a bunch of little prongs sticking out.Those jumper across each other to provide power to manny other things.What things?I dont know.Throw it away and tell us what doesnt work.

 

what i did was take the 4 wires that match on each inj clip and cut them and connected them to the one wire that is different on the resistor box. then the 4 matching wires on the resistor box back to the inj clip where i cut the original wires. no guessing there.
